Consultation and Education
Peer Consultation
Polaris Psychotherapist Consortium hosts monthly interdisciplinary consultation meetings for all members of the consortium. Meetings take place through a secure and HIPAA compliant virtual platform and are scheduled with an awareness that our members live in multiple time zones. These monthly meetings are not open to the general public but are available to all members.
Monthly Diversity Focused Reading and Case Presentations
Polaris Psychotherapist Consortium hosts monthly clinical case conferences and reading groups with a focus on improving clinical acumen. These meetings are included as a component of membership. Occasionally opportunities to attend such presentations are also made available to community members outside of the Consortium for a small fee or to those interested in learning more about membership or other involvement.
Quarterly Speaker Series
Polaris Psychotherapist Consortium presents quarterly events with expert speakers presenting on a range of clinical topics of interest to a multidisciplinary audience. These trainings offer continuing education credits (CEU/CME) for physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and counselors. These presentations are included for Consortium members and available to the community for a fee.
Other Training and Consultation Opportunities
The Polaris Psychotherapist Consortium Board represents psychotherapists from a wide range of educational backgrounds and training perspectives. Our Board includes national trainers and consultants from a variety of theoretical backgrounds with specific evidence-based and evidence-supported therapies as well as providers with specific diversity interests and other consultation and/or training expertise. Individual Polaris Psychotherapist Consortium Board members are available for additional training and individual, group or agency-based consultation.
Individual consultation with board members on specific questions and topics is available to members as a component of membership.
